Kim Mason

Kim was considered a pioneer in 1982 when she became one of just a few female financial advisors in the brokerage industry.  Not one to be held back, she then obtained her Certified Financial Planner designation along with the coveted Certified Portfolio Manager certification.  She grew in the field forming first one team, “The DelMarVa Group at Morgan Stanley” which then merged with another existing team to create the “BMP Group at Morgan Stanley.”  This Team, offering Financial Planning and discretionary money management in Northern Virginia continues post her retirement in December 2020 after 38 years.  During her tenure, she was recognized by Forbes as a “Top Women Wealth Advisor,” “Top Wealth Advisor in Virginia,” and as a “Five Star Wealth Manager” for several years.  

Her love for theatre, music and dance began young with both choir and local theatre productions.  This led her to pursue her BFA in Fine Arts for the Actress/Singer from the International University – Europe. She has a coveted 1979 “Starlight Award for Outstanding Female Performance in a Minor Role” for playing Mae in the Pajama Game in San Diego and at one time, she delivered singing telegrams in the VA/DC/MD area with the National Singing Telegram Company – San Francisco.  

Now retired, she and her wife, Sandra, make their full time home in Lewes.  They love to travel and experience local wine dinners.  With their shared love of the theatre, Kim is looking forward to finding new ways to support Clear Space along with other organizations in the community.
